Meet Changlu Wu

Changlu Wu is an internationally acclaimed pipa virtuoso, educator, and cultural ambassador dedicated to preserving and sharing the beauty of traditional Chinese music. Trained at the prestigious Shanghai Conservatory of Music, she became the first Chinese musician to win the George Foreman International Music Award using a traditional Chinese instrument. She has performed with leading orchestras across North America, including the Houston Symphony and Boise Philharmonic, and appeared in the Academy Award-winning documentary From Mao to Mozart. Today, Changlu is the founder of the Changlu Wu School of Music and the North America Youth Chinese Orchestra (NAYCO), where she mentors the next generation of musicians through private lessons, ensemble training, and community performances.

Study pipa, guzheng, and traditional Chinese music with an internationally recognized performer and educator. Lessons are available for students of all ages and experience levels, from beginners to advanced musicians preparing for competitions and performances.

Founded by Changlu Wu in 2012, the North America Youth Chinese Orchestra (NAYCO) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to training young musicians, preserving Chinese musical traditions, and serving communities through performance and education.
